As the extent of the coronavirus continually changes, Johnston Companies is fully committed to the safety and health of our associates and customers.
Johnston is considered an “Essential Business” and as such will remain open to support our customers’ needs during this pandemic. This also applies to any states where we conduct business that are under “Shelter-in-Place” orders.
We are in constant contact with our supplier base, monitoring their manufacturing readiness and any possible shortfalls in manufacturing capacity that may occur. On this page, we are posting the information that we are receiving from our suppliers regarding COVID-19.
Many of our suppliers who manufacture PPE (Safety) items have informed us that they are being required to prioritize their shipments to the medical industry and first responders.
While these suppliers, such as 3M, are rapidly ramping up production, some types of respirators and gloves will be in limited supply.
To support our effort to maintain all of our operations, Johnston is taking precautions to ensure the safety and health of all our associates.
- A substantial number of our associates are now working remotely. We do not expect this change to impact our level of service to our customers.
- We have crossed trained our teams to increase our flexibility in servicing our customers’ needs.
- Additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures have been added to our facilities.
- We have asked all of our associates to use “safe distancing” guidelines as they go about their daily work.
