Credit Approval:
Shipment and delivery shall be subject to approval of Johnston Companies Credit Department. Click here to open a business account. Prices:
Because of constantly changing market conditions, prices are subject to change without notice. Unless there has been no previous quotation made by verbal or written agreement, all orders will be invoiced at prevailing prices at time of shipment.
Terms:
Standard payment terms to customer with approved credit are 1% 10 days, net 30. All over due invoices are subject to a 1.5% per month service charge.
Taxes:
Applicable state, county, or city taxes will be imposed on any article unless a valid tax exemption certificate is on file with Johnston Companies.
Quotations:
Quotations, unless otherwise stated, are for immediate acceptance. Johnston Companies reserves the right to re-quote on any commodity that has fluctuated in price due to market conditions. Deliveries are approximated and contingent upon the manufacturers own ability to deliver within a specified time. We will assume no liability for losses incurred resulting from non-delivery of goods on a specified date. All quotations and agreements shall be contingent upon fire, flood, strikes, accidents, or any other causes beyond our control. Clerical and inadvertent errors are subject to correction.
Returned Goods:
Goods purchased from Johnston Companies cannot be returned without our authorization and must be in full package quantities, re-saleable condition (free of damages, defects, scratches, markings, etchings,
etc.), and must include original packaging, literature, and accessories. Claims must be made within 30 days of the original invoice date. Errors in shipping, or goods having manufacturing defects, may be returned and credit or exchange given. Unless the merchandise was shipped by Johnston Companies in error, all transportation charges covering the return must be freight prepaid and are the responsibility of the customer. Always include a copy of your invoice or packing slip. Claims for discrepancies in shipment must be made within 7 days of receipt of merchandise.
Stock:
It has always been the policy of this company to maintain a complete, adequate stock of inventory. However, there are many items which we do not show in this catalog that are available from our manufacturers. We invite all inquiries which you might have.
Invoicing:
Johnston Companies invoices customers by using standard invoicing procedures, summary invoicing, EDI, and by credit card, including American-Express, Visa, and Mastercard.
Shipping:
Johnston Companies ships the majority of our orders via UPS ground service. However, other commercial carriers such as Federal Express or U.S. Postal Services are available. If there are any errors in your shipment, please report them to Johnston Companies within seven days of receipt. If damage is concealed, keep packing materials and call for instructions.
Manufacturers Warranties:
Many of the products listed in this catalog are warranted to the final user by the manufacturer; copies of these warranties are packaged with the product by the manufacturer when purchased or are available from the manufacturer.

Prompt Disposition:
Johnston Companies will make a good faith effort for prompt correction or other adjustment with respect to any product that proves to be defective within the manufacturers' warranty period. Before returning any product, customers should write or call the Johnston location from which the product was purchased, giving the date and number of the original invoice, and an accurate description of the defect. Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer on delivery to the common carrier. If product was damaged in transit, Johnston Companies will assist the customer with filing a claim.
Product Liability:
Many cities, states and other localities have codes and regulations governing sales, construction, installation, and/or use of products for certain purposes, which may vary from those in neighboring areas. While Johnston Companies attempts to assure that products comply with such codes, it cannot guarantee compliance, and cannot be responsible for how the product is used or installed. Before purchase and use of a product, please review the product application and national, state and local codes and regulations, and be sure that the product, installation, and use will comply with them.
No Warranties to Consumers:
Johnston Companies makes no warranties to those defined as consumers in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty-Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act.
OSHA Hazardous and Substance Information:
Material Safety Data Sheets for products containing OSHA defined hazardous substances are available upon request by writing Johnston Companies, 3121 East Cairo, Springfield, Missouri 65802.
Manufacturers Warranties and Sales Literature:
Many of the products listed in this catalog are warranted to the final user by the manufacturer; copies of these warranties are packaged with the product by the manufacturer when purchased or are available from the manufacturer. As a value added service, Johnston Companies will obtain copies of the consumer warranties from the manufacturer or other warrantor and will furnish them free of charge to customers who request them. Such requests should be mailed to Johnston Companies, 3121 East Cairo, Springfield, MO 65802. Requests must include the Johnston Companies order number and the manufacturer's model number of each product for which a copy of the warranty is requested. Johnston Companies may also furnish sales brochures and other literature of the manufacturer. Johnston Companies assumes no responsibility for the content of such warranties or sales literature by performing this value added service.
